新春佳节怎能少得了「 捞鱼生 」 来图个吉利,捞个风生水起!鱼生在每一桌团圆饭或新春宴里都是必备的!幸运的我早在鼠年来临前,预先在 TROVE Hotel 的邀请下捞了第二捞!Lada & Clove 的七彩三文鱼生内有乾坤;除了平常所见的三文鱼(年年有余)、五香粉,胡椒粉(五福临门)、香油(财源滚滚)、红萝卜丝(鸿运当头)芝麻,花生,薄脆片(金银满屋 遍地黄金)、酸甜酱汁(大吉大利)等,这里还加了少有的新鲜波罗蜜丝 (甜甜蜜蜜)呢!
When Chinese New Year is around the corner, everyone will be looking forward to tossing Yee Sang. Understanding that there are Yee Sang served just anywhere in this period, it isn't easy to find great ones. Fortunate enough, this is my 2nd toss before the year of rat arrive, and it was marvelous! The Signature Salmon Yee Sang has every necessary ingredients to boost up the taste factor; apart from having the usual salmon slices, peanut crushes, sesame, and various other essentials, the surprise is, there are caviar and bits of jack fruit slices in it! After being encased with a douse of special made plum sauce, it is indeed beautiful, stunning and absolutely divine!


年菜的顺序大同小异,一碗热汤来暖暖胃最好不过!比起一大盅的鱼翅,我个人更加偏爱海鲜羹。这盅「 干贝蟹肉带子海鲜羹」成功地俘虏了我的心。盛了一碗又一碗,搭配少许的「醋」和一点「胡椒粉」提味,口感绵滑清鲜,汤头浓郁,足以让我停不了口!它虽然看似普遍却是 Lada & Clove 总厨 - 黄师傅精心慎选里头的每一样新鲜食材,搭配着蟹肉、带子、干贝等海鲜精炖熬煮才能呈现出羹鲜味美的海鲜羹。和我一样喜欢重口味的绝对会喜欢这盅羹!
Instead of the usual shark fins soup, I am an advocate for crab meat & scallop hence I prefer fresh seafood soup more! Over here at Lada & Clove, the Braised Dried Seafood Fresh Scallops & Crab Meat Soup did not disappoint. With the combination of specially selected premium seafood ingredients and hours of boiling, the broth is smooth, rich in taste and palatable! Don't forget to add on a little vinegar & white pepper to taste as it will enhance the entire experience!

新鲜的原粒鲍鱼拌上营养丰富的西兰花再淋上鲜甜的蚝油酱料,口感简直绝配!相信大家都和我一样对这道菜并不陌生,口感和味道其实不必多说也知道是什么滋味,对吧?可是,Lada & Clove 真的让我惊喜连连;西兰花上既然出现「酥炸小白玉菇」!大家试了一口后瞬间将盘子清空!可想而知,这惊喜真的很到位呀!酥炸小白玉菇的已远远超越炸鲍鱼菇和其他香菇类的地位了!
I easily associate the Braised Broccoli with Abalone with all traditional Chinese festivals like Chinese Weddings & Chinese New Year Reunion Meals. Also known as a traditional combination that packed with plenty of nutrients and antioxidants - a savory classic dish. Apart from the meaty, smooth & chewy abalone, the surprise trick here is, it was lay atop a generous amount of Deep Fried Golden Crispy Shimeiji Mushrooms that created one cohesive medley of goodness. Slurp up that golden brown gravy, with all other ingredients, it is definitely slurp-worthy!

年年有余(鱼)、连年有余(鱼)、富贵有余(鱼);欸,这些贺词都和「鱼」息息相关!所以新春佳节吃「鱼」这件事已成为了一种习俗。当然,一桌豪迈的新年飨宴怎能少得了最原始,最传统的「港蒸石斑鱼」呢? 烹调出来的肉质一点也不会变韧,口感滑嫩,油而不腻。每一块鱼肉都渗透满满的蒸酱。下饭绝配!
Fish is a must-have dish on every Chinese festive meals as it symbolizes abundance of prosperity for the rest of the year. Hong Kong style / Cantonese style steamed Garoupa is a classic yet popular dish; this dish maximizes all the nutrients of this health meat, from vitamin A to zinc, as you will get a whole chunk of this protein-rich fish. The flesh is tender yet it has a bouncy texture that flakes nicely. The gravy is perfectly balanced which accentuated the natural flavors of the Garoupa fish.


「鸭」与 「压」同音所以过年吃鸭就有「压岁」的意思,寓意辟邪保佑平安!说起鸭子,免不了想起闻名的北京烤鸭或是脆皮烧鸭;这一个鼠年当然得尝尝这里滋补美味的「港式当归挂炉烤鸭」啦!每一块鸭肉的肉质鲜嫩多汁,味道十足!浓浓的当归药材味渗透每一层皮肉,油光滑泽,香味浓郁让人吃了无法忘怀,三两下就吃得一干二净了!在大饱口福的当儿还能补补身子,多棒!
Another specialty of Lada & Clove's CNY Fortune set menu is the Angelica Roast Duck that is armed with layers of textures and flavors. It comes with sweet herbal overtones and a light salty umami taste, while bits of Chinese Angelica (Dang Gui) peep out at you. The glistening duck skin is smooth and soft, while the meat within is both aromatic and tender with distinct tasty herbal gravy soaked together that helped enhance the overall taste. This dish is indeed a crowd pleasing rendition.

好大的「西式沙味老虎虾」!新年时期吃虾,象征来年的每一天都能哈哈大笑,欢喜连连!这里采用新鲜的虎纹虾作为食材,以最受欢迎的麦片虾烹调方式,保留原壳大炸特炸至金黄色;一颗颗的麦片香脆无比,虾肉也很有弹性!再淋上特制沙拉酱,提升了整体的口感!有种吃着带壳虾球的滋味,吃了停不下来!另外,很贴心的他们还准备了清甜的水果作为配料来解腻!
Prawn has always been a quintessential favorite in every Chinese restaurants due to its addictive succulent texture and a meaningful symbolism of Happiness during the festive season. Over here, the unassuming Deep Fried Tiger Prawns with Salad Sauce is elevated at Lada & Clove with the fresh shelled prawns, battered, fried to juicy golden perfection and served with a heap of fragrant crunchy cereals. The extra aromatic cereal prawns lies in its butter crumbs that is fried in wok till it yields a golden sandy texture. Last but not least, a dazzle of salad sauce is platted and further complete the entire experience!


来到了荷叶饭大家应该都知道这顿年饭即将来到尾声!这里的珍珠糯米饭也是众所周知的荷叶饭是广东人的特色饭点,以其诱人的荷香和浓郁的饭香口感吸引了不少饕客!大多数人对于糯米饭这道菜都带有稍微的恐惧,深怕吃了会又涨又腻。可是,这道珍珠糯米饭完全不会,反而饭团松散,饭粒软润而爽鲜,更有淡淡的荷叶香!吃了荷叶饭就寓意阖家团员的意思啦!
This savory parcel promises to be an explosion of flavors that dance in the mouth; it's stuffed with succulent chunks of slow braised meat, sweet chestnuts and well-marinated glutinous rice. It is definitely irresistible from the moment I unwrap one fresh pack and a chorus of aromas hits the nose which gives a nice kick to the overall mouthfeel.


大饱口福之后,绝对少不了饭后甜点!双喜临门,好事成双,甜品就一定要来两份!
This is not the end yet, there are TWO appealing sweet tooth to complete your meal! A cute little Two-flavoured Mochi with Shredded Coconut AND Chilled Longan with Sea Bird's Nest, Gui Hua & Red Dates dessert await you at the end of the meal. I personally fancy the Two-flavored Mochi as it is stuffed with red beans & chocolate, a whole new experience on eating Mochi! Meanwhile, I will never say no to a good bowl of chilled dessert and what's more it is packed with sea bird's nest and gui hua that gives me the luxury to absorb all collagen that I need for this CNY!
